Ryou beamed at the machines that surrounded them on every side. He had never had them in his childhood either, But found them once he started middle school at…
Marik took his hand and led him to the food court.
Ryou squeezed his hand gently and smiled, Following him as he took in the wonderful smells.
"Hmm, lets see." Marik looked at the menu above the counter when they got there. He decided on french fries and a chocolate milkshake and asked what Ryou wanted.
“That sounds really good.” he smiled when the other ordered. He ordered himself a burger and fries with a small coke.
Marik paid and was told that their food would be ready soon. “Let’s go sit in that booth seat over there.”
He smiled and followed. “It’s a nice seat.” he nodded.
"Yeah, really nice." Marik led him to it when they got their food.
He helped with the food, Grabbing some as well and bringing it back.
Marik arched an eyebrow letting himself in after Ryou went in. “Alright, I won’t pry…. but to warn you, you peaked my curiosity just then,” he commented with a bit of a laugh. “Though I’ll respect you and try to stay from the topic….mind if we stop in a jewelry store?”
He swallowed and nodded at the other, Keeping it in mind. He would avoid all conversations from here on out that had to deal with the subject. “That sounds great.”
Marik smiled at that, “I love going in jewelry stores…. so many sparkles…” he purred, shifting somewhat so that he could let himself adjust to the crowd of people. ‘..I can also find something for my pretty one….that holiday is coming up…’ he thought to himself, not that he understood the first thing about it.
He smiled at the others reaction and nodded. “That sounds like fun. Jewelry is very pretty.” he grinned and headed towards one of the many stores they had for the particular item.
Marik nodded lightly, “yes it is…” he agreed whole heartedly. A smile upon his face, “I thinking of getting something for my Pretty one… something with an ornate design I think, with accenting jems,” he mused lightly, thinking things over as he walked with the other.
"Pretty one?" he tilted his head. "Who is that? He or she sounds quite special to receive such a wonderful gift." he grinned with a nod.
Marik watched him for a moment, feeling the stinging slowly go away. “Hmm alright… I think the kitty really liked me….” he murmured with a happy purr. “Hey…wait did I distract you from anything when the kitty started to play with me?”
He let out a laugh and shook his head. “I… Don’t know about that.” he smiled a bit. He blinked and shook his head. “No. I had just gotten off of work. I was heading home anyways.” sort of. He thought.
Marik was certain the kitty liked him, after all why would the kitty give him all those scratch marks if it didn’t like him. “Well I’m certain of it…. may bring him fishies if I see it again..” he mused aloud, making up his mind to do so. “Are you sure? you look like you might’ve had plans… I don’t have plans…was rather bored actually..”
He smiled a small smile and laughed a little. He shook his head when he heard the second comment and looked over. “Nah. I was just browsing. I was bored as well. I had just left work.”
"Oh, you were bored?….. well why don’t kill each others boredom?" Marik offered up, actually looking rather excited. As a million ideas seemed to filter into his mind, anywhere from movies, to running all over the city just because it was doable.
"I like that idea." he grinned and rubbed over his hands. "What is it that you would like to do?"
"I think you’ll do just fine… We both will… It’s… Just going to take some practice. That’s all." he looked up at him and rubbed his hands down his arms.
He shivered as his hands pass over his scar from Battle City. He was in control of Ryou’s body at that time, and he stabbed himself to create…a diversion of some sort for Marik, Ryou’s body didn’t take the injury once Bakura’s had his own body. That scar was now a part of his body, instead of his lights.
He swallowed hard against the scar, Memories coursing through his head. He remembered it all too well and he wished he hadn’t. He blinked and looked out the window with him. “And I’ll be there to help you…”
